A Prayer

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
— Colossians 4:2

Father,
I pray that You will protect me from the evil one, that You will make me one with other believers, and that You will fill me with the full measure of Christ’s joy. I ask that You would sanctify me by Your word. (John 17)
Please give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation that I may know You better. May the eyes of my heart be enlightened that I may know the hope to which You have called me and Your incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1)
Please fill me with the knowledge of Your will through all wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that I may live a life worthy of the Lord, pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience, and give joyful thanks to You. (Colossians 1)
Father out of Your glorious riches please strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. May I be rooted and established in love and have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and may I know this love that surpasses knowledge and be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3)
May my love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that I might be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1)
Amen!
